Livestreaming on YouTube is a great option if you want to build a long‑term passion for hosting live broadcasts. It’s also very easy to get started. All you need is OBS or any other encoder platform that can send your stream to YouTube.

In this article, we are going to explore how to stream on YouTube using the OBS platform.

In your YouTube Studio Channel Dashboard, look for the Create button in the upper right corner of the screen. Click it, and from the dropdown menu that appears, select "Go Live."

Go to the Manage tab and click on Schedule Stream. It’s better to schedule your stream instead of going straight to the Stream tab and entering your livestream details. While both options let you stream your gameplay on YouTube, scheduling gives you better control over your livestream. Plus, once you’ve set it for your preferred time, people will get notified and can wait for your stream to start.

You can either start a new session or reuse your previous livestream settings for a quick and easy setup.

Just share the details for the title, description, category, thumbnail, and playlist. The rest is optional, but if you have time, you can set whatever works best for your stream.
