When the Storm Breaks: Second Edition Now Available

 I’m happy to share some good news with you. The second edition of When the Storm Breaks: A Journey of Grace, previously published as In the Midst of the Storm, is now available!

It has been more than six years since my first book, In the Midst of the Storm, was published. On March 10, 2026, I released the second edition under a new title, When the Storm Breaks. While the second edition remains largely the same as the first, I have added sections that were unintentionally omitted due to the emotional pain I experienced while writing the original manuscript. I have also included new reflections and insights to clarify parts that were not clearly expressed in the first edition.

Before writing this book, my initial plan was to write a letter to Maalaala Mo Kaya, an ABS-CBN television program. However, I realized that there were two possible outcomes. My letter might not be selected, given the number of people who write to the program to share their experiences as inspiration to others. Even if my story were chosen, it would be aired only once and eventually forgotten.

Through constant prayer and with the conviction of the Holy Spirit, I came to believe that God’s greatness and goodness are worth sharing with future generations. A testimony to God’s greatness deserves to be shared endlessly. Guided by God, I therefore decided to share my story through a memoir because God is worth sharing with the world.

If God is willing and this book gains the attention of the world, I will wholeheartedly devote myself to writing another book for the glory of God. Perhaps this is what God wants me to do, and this is the way He is calling me to serve Him.

Now, I invite you to take time to read my book. As you read, I encourage you to pause and reflect on the things I have shared with you. I am not here to influence what you believe about life or about God. I simply want to share the experiences I have been through, not to make you sad but to inspire you. No matter how difficult life may be, and no matter how great the troubles we face, God is always with us to help and guide us through every trial. Troubles will come, and we cannot avoid them, but if you know in your heart that God is with you, you can face them all. The courage to overcome life’s challenges comes from God.
